The actress, famous for playing Lucy Beale, was praised by followers for her very honest and moving words.
In the image, Melissa, 30, wears a black bra and pants and posted a raw and unedited snap of her tummy.
She penned as the caption: “I used to think having my son had ruined my body.
“I hated every inch of it, every curve and crease and mark. It was difficult to look in the mirror and see a soft, saggy stranger staring back at me. I was consumed with thoughts of becoming the person that was stuck in my mind, a person from before.
“But there’s a story in these curves, and creases, and marks. A story I would never undo. So why would I focus all my energy on undoing the proof that it happened? Wasn’t there better ways to spend my time? Yes. Yes there bloody was.”
Melissa, who had her son River in 2020, continued to say “my body has changed,” adding: “It will change again too. So will yours. They’ll change from the moment we’re born until the moment we’re gone. And if we’re only happy with one very specific version of ourselves, we’re going to spend a lot of time miserable.”
The actress coins herself as ‘the confident mama’ on social media, and she’s no stranger to a candid post about motherhood.
She’s known for encouraging women to love their curves and helps them to feel comfortable in their own skin.
Her latest post garnered a lot of praise from fans, with one person writing: “You are amazing. Confidence out of this world. Beautiful momma 
Thank you for this.”
A second added: “I love your posts. They give me confidence after I had my daughter and thought my body was disgusting. You have helped to totally change the way I look at myself.”

It comes just days after Melissa was praised once again for stripping to her underwear and showing off her “wobbly body.”
She posted a short clip of herself in green underwear shaking her body, with a big smile on her face.
The soap star wrote next to the clip: “13 seconds of a body wobbling, to remind you that a wobbly body is totally NORMAL.
“Every single body has at least a little bit of wobble. Jiggle. Movement. And whether you have a little or a lot, your body is worthy either way.”
