“But her and Zoe – that is just a box you don’t want to open darling.”

But Lily told her: “Look mum stop worrying, aunty Kat needs her family and that’s exactly what we’re going to give her.”

Lily couldn’t hold back when Kat walked in and gushed: “I told aunty Zoe you were getting married.

“I saw the invitation you didn’t send so I found her on Facebook and invited her for you. But do you want to know the best bit?

“I saw she was in London today shopping, so I told her how much you missed her and that you’d be waiting for her at Peggy’s at 8.30pm tonight.

“She hasn’t seen the message yet but just have faith, yeah?”

Kat was stunned and called Lily a “stupid little cow”.

Later she raged to Stacey but opened up about how terrified she was to face her daughter.

Stacey convinced her to go to meet Zoe where Kat sat nervous and terrified.

However, she was distracted when Ben got attacked by Zack Hudson and exposed for selling drugs in Peggy’s.

It later emerged that Zoe didn’t turn up in the bar with Kat telling Lily: “When Zoe’s ready to build a bridge, I’ll be on the other side waiting, the same as my sisters.

“But I’ve got enough love around me in the meantime.”

Zoe was last seen in Walford in 2005 having been cleared of the murder of Dirty Den.

She moved to Ibiza and hasn’t been seen or heard from since – until this week which confirmed she was back in London.

This week’s EastEnders episodes are available to watch on iPlayer now.
