EASTENDERS’ Maisie Smith was barely recognisable after undergoing an edgy makeover for a TikTok challenge.
The 20-year-old star ditched her usual style for a bondage-look corset and fishnet tights as she attempted to recreate the “Emo aesthetic”.
The social media site’s challenge gives users a randomly generated stereotype to re-create, and Maisie confessed that she found this particular look “tricky”.
Emo style is typically alternative and tends to be influenced by punk-rock music – a stark contrast to Maisie’s usual fashion choice.
Bu still, she donned a tiny pink mini-skirt with frayed detailing and fishnet tights, which she pulled up so that they were visible over her toned midriff.
She added a netted crop top and preserved her modesty with the black lace-up bustier – sheer sleeves adding to the attention-grabbing outfit.
Completing the look, Maisie added heavy eyeliner and a dark red lipstick, straightening her long ginger hair and putting some of it up into an intricate ‘do.
She also wore a large beaded pearl necklace, ending the video by flicking one leg up to reveal the cherry knee-high socks she’d pulled over the tights, and Nike trainers she’d finished the concept with.
The actress wrote in the video’s caption: “My aesthetic is
so this was tricky”.
Her EastEnders‘ co-star Shona McGarty was among the followers to comment, writing: “You know I LOVE THIS!!” alongside a heart emoji.
The video comes after The Celeb Report revealed that Maisie has been growing close to her on-screen husband Zack Morris, and was spotted leaving his home after a cinema date earlier this month.
The pair play Tiffany and Keegan Butcher-Baker in the BBC One soap, and have insisted that they are just good friends.
