Filming pictures show the moment Mick throws himself off a cliff and into the sea after a car carrying estranged wife Linda Carter and lover Janine Butcher flies over.

Soap bosses pulled out all the stops for the major stunt, driving a car with crash dummies dressed as Linda and Janine over a cliff.

An EastEnders insider said: “Bosses are staying tight lipped about the exact nature of Danny’s exit but there’s no way his character would go out without a bang.

“Exact details are being kept top secret but the show is pulling out all the stops to make it an explosive ending, which will no doubt leave the residents of Walford reeling.”

It will spark speculation that Mick is being killed off just like Janine’s first husband Barry Evans who died when she pushed him over a cliff in 2004.

Actress Charlie Brooks is also leaving the soap as Janine, just 18 months after her big comeback.

Actor Danny revealed he had quit the soap earlier this year and has hinted that Mick will die.

Talking exclusively to The Celeb Report in June, Danny revealed there will be no way back for Queen Vic landlord Mick.

“It’s huge and it’s going to upset a few people,” he said.

“I will miss everyone but I want to go out proper. I came in proper and I want to go out proper.
