EASTENDERS has been pulled from BBC One in a soap schedule shake-up next week.

The BBC soap will not be shown on its own channel to make room for the Wimbledon matches.

The major tennis events will take over the 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. time slot for the entire week

Instead EastEnders‘ fans will have to switch over to BBC Two at 7:30 pm to get their daily Albert Square fix.

The One Show is another popular show among fans that will be moved to BBC Two as well at 7 pm.

Wimbledon is a grass court tennis tournament held at the All England Club in south-west London each year.

Elena Rybakina is the women’s singles champion from 2022, while Novak Djokovic is the current men’s singles champion.

Rafael Nadal has won Wimbledon twice in his stunning run to 22 Grand Slam trophies.

Last year at SW19 he reached the semi-final before agonisingly being forced to withdraw with an abdominal injury.

Rafa Nadal will not be playing at Wimbledon this year.

The Spaniard underwent keyhole hip surgery in June, after injuring his hip flexor at the Australian Open in January.

He was unable to defend his French Open crown in May.

Meanwhile EastEnders fans can look forward to another great episode tonight.
