EastEnders residents in Albert Square are left devastated after a fire breaks out in Kathy Beale's café. The police are now investigating the incident, and one beloved character finds themselves in hot water.
A Vile Plan Unleashed
Rocky Cotton, in dire need of money, sets fire to Kathy's café in an attempt to file a fraudulent insurance claim. His actions not only cause chaos and destruction throughout the Square but also ensnare one unsuspecting Walford resident.
Blame Game
Cindy Beale, played by Michelle Collins, quickly points fingers at Kathy for the incident. Tensions rise as Cindy returns to Walford and witnesses a warm moment between Kathy and her husband Ian Beale.
A Heated Past
Kathy and Cindy have a troubled history, and their rivalry resurfaces when Ian takes Cindy back. The two women engage in a furious altercation, leaving Kathy shocked and Cindy seeking revenge.
Comfort and Betrayal
George Knight, portrayed by Colin Salmon, tries to console Cindy at The Vic. He encourages her to visit the hospital and confront her own behavior.
Arrest and Regret
Kathy's day takes a turn for the worse when the police arrive to arrest her for her alleged involvement in the café fire. As she remains in custody, Kathy starts to question her decision not to seek legal representation.
A Guilty Conscience
Rocky, feeling guilty, is confronted by his friend Harvey Monroe. Harvey urges Rocky to confess his actions to the police, which leads Rocky to the police station. Will he take responsibility for his actions, or will Kathy bear the consequences?
Spiraling Out of Control
As Kathy's questioning continues, Cindy's behavior becomes increasingly erratic and shocking. Ian is left horrified by her actions, raising suspicions about her motives.
