WITH his partner Jean Slater acting out, Harvey Monroe has a lot on his plate.
Next week in EastEnders, however, his son Aaron Monroe’s life is at the top of his priority list after a horrific attack in prison.
For weeks, Harvey (played by Ross Boatman) has been taking a step back from his son Aaron’s (Charlie Wernham) criminal activities.
The youngster was thrown behind bars earlier this year after his involvement with a far-right group came to light.
Since then, Harvey has been scared of a backlash and has preferred to keep his distance from his son, going as far as to think about moving away from Albert Square.
This has notably allowed him to get closer to his ongoing love interest Jean (Gillian Wright) and the pair have been inseparable for months after a failed date.

However, the cleaner has been going through a manic episode which has led to her having some troubling behaviours.
This included asking for Harvey’s hand in marriage on a whim, after agreeing to spending some time apart.
But when he gets a terrifying phone call, Harvey is rocked by some distressing news which brings him right back down to earth.
The cabbie finds out Aaron has been the victim of a brutal attack in prison and was left seriously injured.
He learns that his son was brought to hospital and he gets Stacey Slater’s (Lacey Turner) immediate support who is a witness to his fragile state.
While she remains at his side, it slowly dawns on Stacey that Jean has been a distraction for Harvey from his son Aaron.
She tries to make him see this, begging him not to marry Jean.
Stacey may not need to do much: in later scenes, Harvey is stunned by Jean’s nonchalant attitude after he tells her Aaron’s life is hanging in balance.
As mentioned above, Jean asked for Harvey’s hand in marriage after attending a stag do.
But this has only been one of many antics as Jean has also been seen stealing money from Kat Slater and letting young Tommy Moon take the blame.
Meanwhile, her daughter Stacey has been trying to get her the help she needs to no avail.
