Shane Richie reprised his role in September, 2022, after making a surprise in the BBC One soap months prior.
Since then, his on-screen alter ego has found his mark in Albert Square again and even friendship in the form of Vic landlady Linda Carter (played by Kellie Bright).
However, things could easily evolve for the pair.
Coming up, Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) arranges a blind date for her pal Linda and Alfie offers some words of support.

Linda has been divorced from Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) and watched him move on from their marriage with Janine Butcher.
Eager to do the same as Mick and Janine’s relationship evolves, Linda is deflated when her blind date fails to show.
Alfie, wanting to cheer her up, steps in and buys her a drink… with an annoyed Mick watching them from afar.
In later scenes, Mick and Linda reminisce about buying the Vic and when Alfie arrives for his shift, the landlord is determined to push him away from his former wife.
Mick gets revenge by telling Alfie he is no longer needed in the pub.
However, he later apologises to Alfie for letting him go before becoming annoyed again when the latter questions if Janine is really the woman he loves.
Many residents have been feeling the lingering chemistry between Mick and Linda while, off-screen, EastEnders fans are hoping for a reunion.
But will the former spouses have the time to reunite before actor Danny Dyer bows out of the show?
The soap star was recently pictured filming his last scenes and jumping off a cliff to his apparent death.
Danny’s exit scenes are due to be aired around Christmas, with actress Charlie Brooks aka Janine playing a major role in his epic swan song.
Many viewers have theorised that Janine’s murderous streak could come back as she kills Mick Carter.
She has tried to keep him by her side, going as far as to leave an unconscious Linda in a car wreck.

Janine is set for her own exit in the New Year as her brother returns to Walford.
