How will she cope?
BBC One viewers were informed the legendary character would have the send-off she deserves, months after the actress who portrayed her passed away.
June Brown breathed her last at the age of 95 earlier this year and stars of the London-based drama paid their respects social media.
She was a long-standing EastEnders icon, having played Dot for more than three decades.
The fan favourite will be given an off-screen death.

Soap bosses vowed June Brown would get a tribute episode with Square residents attending her character’s funeral.
In scenes due to air next week, Sonia Fowler (played by Natalie Cassidy), who was particularly close to Dot, is the first one to find out about her fate.
Coming up, she first misses an important call when her phone dies.
She finally manages to pick up before being told that Dot has died.
How will she react?
The news is set to come as a shock for Sonia, interrupting all the drama she’ll be involved in.
As she prepares for a job interview, she’ll notice Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks) lying through her teeth to Mick Carter about her pregnancy.
This will be all in an attempt to keep Linda Carter, Mick’s former wife, away from the pub landlord.
Janine could be caught up by the truth and a concerned Sonia is set to make a mysterious phone call that could bring her help, believing the Walford villain is spiralling out of control.
Sonia tries her best to reassure Janine who has been desperate to keep Linda away from Mick as her insecurities take over.
Believing them to be getting closer once again, Janine is paranoid, leading her to spy on both Mick and Linda.
Sonia catches her red-handed and tries to assure her it’s all in her mind.
Janine later fumes to Sonia about the former couple and Sonia continues to promise her that Mick is fully committed to her.
According to her, Janine shouldn’t have any doubt – Linda is out of the picture.
But could she be wrong?
EastEnders airs from Monday to Thursday at 7.30pm.
