DESPITE his abuse and subsequent death of his first wife Chantelle, Gray Atkins has managed to avoid justice.
But comeuppance could be near for the EastEnders serial killer as the police knocks on his door with questions.
Following the gas explosion that took place during Callum Highway’s party, Gray (Toby-Alexander Smith) panics when her sees the Argee Bhajee cordoned off in an upcoming episode of the BBC One soap.
When Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) catches up with him, he tells her it’s a big day at the hospital: he is finally able to hold Jordan.
Later on, however, Gray makes his way to the Argee Bhajee and poses as an insurance broker needing to “assess” the damage that was done during the explosion.
Gray is mortified when the builder tells him that everything has to be stripped off.

This means that Tina Carter’s (Luisa Bradshaw-White) body could be discovered.
Gray is terrified as his crimes seem set to be exposed.
He makes the decision to leave Albert Square in a haste, packing a bag and grabbing the family’s passports.
And the pressure only builds up when DCI Arthurs approaches him with questions.
As he was planning his escape, Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) hatched her own plan.
After spotting a deflated Chelsea (Zaraah Abrahams), Whitney is shocked and makes a big decision.
However, she hasn’t worked out that Gray is responsible for Tina disappearing.
Whitney only has proof that he abused Chantelle, leading her to believe that he also is responsible for hear death.
Chantelle was murdered by Gray in September, 2020, after she was pushed by her husband, which led her to fall onto a knife.
Gray staged her death as an accident, claiming ever since that she simply slipped on one of their children’s toys.
But Whitney found evidence that Chantelle was being abused and has been convinced of Gray’s guilt, along with Kheerat Panesar (Jaz Deol).
With confidence, Whitney bites the bullet and tells the police that Gray murdered Chantelle.
Tina was then strangled to death by Gray in December, 2020, when she also found out the truth.
