THROWN into a coma after his brutal confrontation with Kheerat Panesar, Gray Atkins is soon out of the woods.
But when he wakes up in next week’s EastEnders, the lawyer makes a shock discovery about his wife Chelsea Fox.
Serial killer Gray (played by Toby-Alexander Smith) has been escaping justice for almost two years after murdering his wife Chantelle in September, 2020.
Meanwhile, Kheerat (Jaz Deol) and Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) are convinced he is responsible to her death and are going above and beyond to expose him.
This includes the businessman getting into a horrifying fight with Gray, hitting him over the head multiple times with a wine bottle.

Following the fight, that Whitney would have rather avoided, Gray’s life is left hanging in balance.
However, Gray wakes up in upcoming scenes of the BBC One soap.
His eyes flicker open when Karen Taylor (Lorraine Stanley) pays him a visit in hospital and mentions his children and Whitney.
While his former mother-in-law is at his bedside, Gray’s second wife Chelsea (Zaraah Abrahams) is nowhere to be seen as she finds her confidence again while Gray is temporarily out of the picture.
This comes as a shock to Gray when Chelsea finally makes her way to hospital after a fun morning with his children, Mack and Mia.
Chelsea building herself back up means trouble for Gray as he knows he will not be able to control anything she does once she realises she can get away from him.
This could lead to the beautician taking her son Jordan away from Gray, as she outs him for abusing her physically and mentally.
Horrified by Whitney and Kheerat’s revelations about Gray, who are both adamant on protecting her, Chelsea has tried to crawl her way out of her marriage.
But her attempts perpetually fell flat as Gray has constantly outsmarted her.
Released from hospital, Gray returns home but is disgruntled when he sees that a bigger deal hasn’t been made about his arrival.
However, Gray will have to focus on other matters as another one of his secrets has been found out in the Argee Bhajee.
Will Gray finally get the justice he deserves?
