EastEnders spoilers: Janine Butcher makes shock decision about living in Walford after Mick Carter setback

JANINE Butcher is beginning to feel insecure after Mick Carter rejects intimacy with her.

At her wit’s end, the EastEnders villain considers making a huge decision about her future in Walford.

Janine may consider another exit from Walford

She’s feeling increasingly insecure about her relationship with Mick Carter

She is told something upsetting

Smooth-talking and cunning Janine (portrayed by Charlie Brooks) is feeling deflated next week after she fails to seduce Mick (played by Danny Dyer).

Despite their budding romance, which has led Mick to steer away from his estranged wife Linda, the Vic landlord has been struggling with the thought of being intimate with his new love interest.

This hits Janine hard and, with her upcoming hearing about Scarlett‘s custody, her insecurities get the best of her.

Coming up, she tells Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick) that if the judge gives her custody of her daughter, she will be leaving Albert Square.

This wouldn’t be the first time Janine leaves Walford as she already turned her back on the Square several times from her first appearance in 1989.

She most recently came back in September, 2021, as a pediatric nurse under her fake name, Judith Bernstein.

Prior to announcing her potential exit to Billy, Janine woke up without Mick by her side, knowing that he has been trying to avoid her.

When she first tries to confront him about their lack of intimacy, Janine is brushed off – but Mick later admits to Mitch Baker (Roger Griffiths) that he can’t be intimate with her.

But she quickly grows paranoid when Billy tells her about Mick’s short-lived affair with Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty), in 2017.

Viewers may remember the pair sharing a few kisses before putting an end to their illicit romance after Linda’s return to Albert Square.

Worried about the fate of her relationship with Mick, as Whitney freely roam around, Janine warns her away.

Janine’s routine has been made more harrowing as she tries to prove she can take care of her daughter Scarlett Moon.

Kat Slater obtained custody of the young girl in September, 2021, leaving Janine furious and more than determined to get her daughter back.

But what’s in store for Janine and Mick?

Will she really leave the Square?

EastEnders airs from Monday to Thursday on BBC One.
