NEWCOMER Avery Baker caused a stir upon his arrival in Albert Square, especially with his brother Mitch.
Determined to see the brothers get along, Karen Taylor hatches a plan next week in EastEnders.
Producer Chris Clenshaw gave BBC One viewers plenty of drama, most notably by bringing Mitch Baker’s brother Avery to Walford, alongside his two sons.
But as soap fans may remember, Avery (portrayed by singer Omar Lye-Fook) didn’t have the best reunion with his younger sibling Mitch (Roger Griffiths).
This was only made worse when it was revealed Avery was fighting cancer.
Aware the brothers are struggling to make amends, as Mitch is more than reluctant to do so, Karen Taylor (Lorraine Stanley) takes matters into her own hands next week.
She first tries to persuade Mitch to talk to Avery but he vehemently refuses.
While he doesn’t listen to Karen’s advice, another familiar and unexpected face in the Square will be a great help for Mitch to finally open up to Avery.
But the bonding doesn’t last long as Mitch soon holds resentment towards Avery and, fuming, asks him to leave altogether.
Karen, on the other hand is hellbent on getting them to talk to one another and puts the pressure on Mitch to give Avery a chance.
She goes a step further and orchestrates the meeting herself but Mitch never shows up.
But Karen isn’t one to give up that easily and brings the rest of the family to support Avery.
Meanwhile, Bernie and Bailey get an idea.
The girls head off to confront Mitch at the cab office – will he listen to what they have to say?
