EastEnders spoilers: Kheerat Panesar to get shock news as he reunites with Stacey Slater

STACEY Slater has been happy to be rekindling her romance with Kheerat Panesar.

But there’s clearly something on the businessman’s mind as he’s set to get some jaw-dropping news in EastEnders.

Love is in the air for both Kheerat Panesar (portrayed by Jaz Deol) and Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner).

In recent months, the pair have grown closer and decided to give their short-lived connection another go.

However, in upcoming scenes of the BBC One soap, Stacey realises the reunion isn’t really what she had hoped for as they struggle to make things official.

Next week, she comes to the conclusion that Kheerat is keeping their relationship from his family and assumes it’s because he’s embarrassed by her.

Later on, Kheerat assures her that she’s wrong, asserting that he only wants to protect their relationship from any meddling before making it public knowledge.

To prove his commitment, Kheerat implies he wants to meet up later in the day.

Stacey is pleased, perhaps believing she could cross paths with Kheerat’s family – but she’s surprised when she’s taken by him to an empty No.31.

While Stacey is unaware of it, Kheerat is hiding something from her but it has nothing to do with the owner of Stacey’s Baps.

In fact, EastEnders viewers may remember that Kheerat’s family is actually the biggest obstacle to their happiness as a couple.

Recent scenes have shown the businessman’s uncle Ranveer (Anil Goutam) coming to Albert Square with a surprising demand.

Kheerat was stunned when Ranveer insisted on finding him a wife in a shocking arranged marriage offer.

To make matters worse, Kheerat’s mother Suki (Balvinder Sopal) agreed that it was time he finally settled down and thought an arranged marriage would be perfect for him.

Clearly spun out, Kheerat left to see Stacey – but could his uncle and mother tell him they’ve found him the perfect partner to tie the knot with?

Kheerat hasn’t told Stacey his family is adamant on fixing him up with another woman.

Could she find out at the last minute?

Will he really go through with an arranged marriage of follow his heart to Stacey?
