MICK Carter has had a growing connection with Walford villain Janine Butcher.
And as she returns to the Square, their bond is only made stronger in upcoming scenes of EastEnders.
After some time away, Janine (portrayed by Charlie Brooks) made her way back to Albert Square in September, 2021.
She first flirted with Zack Hudson until Mick (Danny Dyer) caught her eye.
The shifty barmaid has since tried to get The Vic landlord’s attention but failed.
However, after he found out his missing aunt Tina had actually been murdered, Janine has been an important source of support for Mick and the pair are growing closer than ever.

Coming up, the Carters are going over funeral plans for Tina alongside Jay Brown but Shirley is irritated when Janine returns.
Janine left Walford to give Mick some space and in an attempt to see if their connection is real or solely based on his vulnerability.
Mick later struggles with all the planning and, as he writes Tina’s eulogy, he asks for Janine to help him plan the funeral.
Could this lead to them finally being an item?
As BBC One viewers may know, Janine and Mick have already kissed, just before the former decided to spend some time away from Albert Square.
Surprisingly, Janine does not want to take advantage of Mick’s current state as he not only tries to cope with the murder of Tina but also with his impending divorce with estranged wife Linda.
Linda (Kellie Bright) has disappeared from Walford alongside her baby daughter Annie and Mick has been trying to get her back.
But after going above and beyond to see her and being given the cold shoulder on multiple occasions, Mick received divorce papers.
However, this is not the end for the former childhood sweethearts as Linda will be making another return just in time for Tina Carter’s funeral and as Danny Dyer prepares for his own exit of the drama.
