EastEnders viewers will be going back in time next week as her true motive is revealed.

EastEnders fans will be transported back to 1979
Released from prison on the condition he would become an informant for the authorities, the Walford tough guy played by Steve McFadden is shocked when the detective tells him who she wants him to inform on.
Samantha Keeble (portrayed by Alison Newman) has remained tight-lipped about why she wanted Phil to become her informant, until he tried to outsmart her by warning criminals she was looking for to leave the country.
Next week, and as teased by soap bosses, viewers are transported back to 1979, learning more about the Michells’ chequered past in the area.
The family is hit hard by a Britain in economic turmoil and Mitchell matriarch Peggy makes a return as she tries to keep a busy household running.

To make matters more harrowing for her, her marriage to Eric is showing a few cracks.
As BBC One viewers may remember, Peggy Mitchell passed away in 2016.
Phil gets a job at a garage and Eric decides to take him and his brother Grant out on a “job” to give them some work experience, although Peggy disapproves.
The siblings are vying for the title of man of the house – but who will really come out on top?
Back in the present day, DCI Keeble’s obsession with the Mitchell family increases as her need for a vendetta grows stronger.
But Phil has a wedding on the horizon and as he prepares for the ceremony, he is horrified to receive a text from Keeble telling him she’s outside.
Keeble uses his worst fear against him as she threatens to cause trouble for his fiancée Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) if he doesn’t deliver the information she wants.
Phil tries to find a way out of his mess with Keeble, making one last attempt to outdo her.
But will it be enough for him to finally get out of her grasp?
Or could the ruthless detective make him pay a big price for crossing her?
