EastEnders spoilers: Sharon Watts takes drastic action to save Ben Mitchell

SHARON Watts is shocked to see Ben Mitchell acting out in upcoming episodes of EastEnders.

She decides to take drastic action to keep him out of trouble in upcoming scenes of the BBC One soap.

Sharon Watts sees Ben Mitchell spiralling

After witnessing his husband Callum Highway being battered during a homophobic attack, Ben (played by Max Bowden) struggles to cope with the trauma the assault left him with.

In scenes due to air next week, his violent streak comes back (fans can’t forget how he murdered Heather Trott) while Callum is set to become the face of a new campaign aimed at the LGBTQI+ community.

But Sharon (Letitia Dean) sees him spiralling and is determined to stop from doing something he will regret by turning to Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace)

It all begins when Ben is shaken by a loud noise at the club, as he finds it hard to get over Callum’s horrific attack.

Later on, Kathy’s new bar manager Lewis – who supports Callum’s campaign – invites Ben on a night out but a group of men heckle him.

Although Lewis shrugs it off, Ben grows increasingly angry and finds one of the men, Steve, the following day.

Furious, he drags Steve into the gym’s alley and attacks him, having failed to do so before when he was stopped in his tracks by Kim Fox.

However, Ben is caught red-handed by a stunned Sharon who ends up covering for him by telling Callum she found Steve unconscious.

She pleads with Ben, telling him he can’t behave like this – but remains concerned she hasn’t managed to get through to him.

In a desperate attempt to save from anymore turmoil, Sharon later begs Kat to keep Ben away from Phil’s businesses, stating he’s too psychologically fragile to handle anything.

Unfortunately, and as Kat struggles with her own son, Sharon is ignored.

This prompts the latter to visit Ben’s father Phil (Steve McFadden) in prison to tell him everything.

Sharon then suggests her ex-husband revisits DCI Keeble’s offer but the Walford tough man refuses.

EastEnders fans know Phil could have avoided time behind bars.

Earlier this year, after his involvement in Vincent Hubbard’s death came to light, DCI Samantha Keeble gave Phil a tough choice to make.

Phil had the option of spending the rest of his life in prison or roaming free on the condition he became an informant for the police.

Aware this would mean putting his family and Kat in danger, Phil refused and accepted to tarnish his surprisingly clean criminal record.

But could he backtrack when Sharon tells him what Ben is up to?

EastEnders airs from Monday to Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One.
