However, Jean was sceptical of new wife Eve Unwin’s motives and enlisted her son Sean to help get rid of her.

Eve agreed to leave but when Stacey got home to find out what Jean and Sean had done she was furious.

Next week, Stacey and Jean are still unable to see eye to eye on the situation, with other members of the family getting caught in the crossfire.

Kat is sick and tired of Jean and Stacey arguing about Eve and threatens to move in with Phil.

Later in the week, Stacey offers an olive branch to Kat, asking her not to move in with Phil.

Trying to improve things with Jean, they take all the kids out for the day and Kat asks that they promise not to let Tommy play football whilst he’s still recovering.

Despite Stacey’s best efforts, she still clashes with her mum and heads to the café for respite.

Kheerat flirts with Stacey and offers some wise words, whole Jean goes of to search for her daughter.

However, Tommy is alone and decides to take out his hidden football while no one is around.

BLAST FROM THE PAST

Earlier this week, Jean was left gobsmacked when daughter Stacey revealed that she had married a woman in prison.

Jean’s son Sean – played by actor Robert Kazinsky – made a shock comeback to the soap to confront Stacey’s new wife Eve.

The actor has revealed he will return in the future – whenever he’s back in the UK from his home in America.

He told the Metro: “Earlier this year I was able to visit my family in the UK for the first time in years thanks to the global pandemic and a thankfully difficult work schedule, and while I was packing my bags I sent Kate Oates an email.

“It was simple really, I live in LA and when conditions allow I’ll try and see my family every year – or more if I can – so I though why wouldn’t Sean do that. Pop in for a cuppa?

“So I said to Kate, I’m in London for one day, let’s write a scene and I’ll swing by in the morning and we can do it, better than that, every time I’m in the UK, if I can. Let’s do it again and she rallied the troops and made it happen.”
