EASTENDERS star Heather Peace has revealed her beloved dog Bungle has died calling him “my most perfect friend”.
The 46-year-old actress, who plays Stacey Slater’s former cellmate Eve Unwin, shared a series of heartbreaking pictures.
She tweeted last night that the much-loved pet had died that evening.
Heather wrote: “Tonight he went to his eternal sleep. My most perfect friend since 2005.
“Dearest Bungle. An absolute legend of dogs. Absolute unconditional, pure, love.”
She told her followers: “Hold them tight. The time we have with them is too short. RIP Bungle. Sleep well dearest soul. xxx.”
Heather joined EastEnders last year as Stacey Slater’s new wife, explaining that they had married in jail.
However, it wasn’t the first time that Heather has appeared on our screens in a soap.
In 1997 she bagged herself a role in Emmerdale as Hotten County Primary School teacher Anne Cullen.
She also played a character called Ali who was part of a mountain rescue team who saved Liam Connor’s life in 2008.
Heather has also starred in a number of other TV shows including The Bill, Dangerfield, Holby City, Casualty, Heartbeat and Waterloo Road.
