After sharing his post, the actor, who is also dad to son 23-month-old Freddie, was inundated with well wishes to him and his family.

His former EastEnders co-star Nitin Ganatra, who played Masood Ahmed, penned: “Oh! MY. What a beauty. Congratulations Jack!”

While a friend commented: “Congratulations both of you !!! And welcome, Young Raffi !!!”

“Huge congratulations mate! Such lovely news!” a third added.

Jack joined Albert Square as hunky builder Andy Flynn in March 2016.

But it turned out his the labourer had a hidden agenda and was actually in Walford to seek out Ronnie Mitchell to avenge the death of his adoptive sister – and Ronnie’s daughter – Danielle.

Ronnie’s long-lost daughter was killed-off in 2009 when she was hit by a car after being reunited with her estranged mum.

Andy’s stint on the soap was short-lived however, as he packed up his toolbox the following August.

An EastEnders insider told The Celeb Report at the time: “When Andy arrived, viewers didn’t realise he was hiding a dark secret, but over the past few weeks it has become clear his intentions towards Ronnie and her family are not what they seem.

“Andy was only ever going to be in EastEnders for this story line, but it’s fair to say there is lots more drama to come before Andy leaves Walford.”

Following his exit, Jack thanked Dominic Treadwell-Collins – who produced the soap at the time – for the opportunity, branding it his “dream job”.

He tweeted: “Quality six months on #EastEnders. The most welcoming cast I’ve ever worked with. Dream job! Thanks @dominictc for getting me involved! X.”

The muscular hunk later swapped Walford for the West End, playing a gay hustler called Cowboy in hit Broadway show The Boys In The Band.

He also had a guest role in Casualty as Alan Marsh and appeared in BBC medical soap Doctors as Enzo in 2019.
