Former EastEnders star Joe Absolom, known for his role as Matthew Rose in the BBC One soap, has surprised fans with his new appearance as he takes on a major role in the upcoming production of 2:22 A Ghost Story.

Absolom, now 44, appeared on ITV's Loose Women alongside his co-star and EastEnders actress Louisa Lytton, 34, to discuss their roles in the play. The production will be touring around the UK, giving fans the opportunity to see the beloved soap star in a brand new light.
Lytton will be playing the role of Jenny, following in the footsteps of Laura Whitmore and Cheryl, while Absolom takes on the character named Ben. The play also features It's A Sin star Nathaniel Curtis as Sam and Charlene Boyd as Lauren.
