EASTENDERS star Laila Morse bravely stripped off to raise cancer awareness – but got more than she bargained for after a “blunder”.
The actress flashed her boobs in front of a crowd of 3,000 people at Strictly: The Real Full Monty after being convinced props and clever lighting would keep her covered up.
But Laila – who is the show’s eldest contestant at 76 – was happy to go starkers for the good cause, which is set to be aired on ITV next week.
It’s after she battled her own breast cancer diagnosis in May 2001 while playing Big Mo in the BBC soap.
A source told The Celeb Report: “Everyone in the crowd was there to see the celebs get their kit off.
“But many people believed special effects would disguise the stars’ private bits on stage.
“It turned out this wasn’t the case and everyone got more than a good look.”
In a dramatic turn of events before the show was filmed, Laila injured her ankle and ended up in a wheelchair.
She refused to give up her place in the Strictly-themed show, fronted by Diversity dancer Ashley Banjo – so ended up performing in a specially decorated wheelchair.
Laila told The Celeb Report: “I sprained my ankle the morning before we filmed it. I went over on it during the final rehearsal, so I couldn’t do the dancing.
“I couldn’t really stand on it, so Ashley said I couldn’t take part. I said ‘But that’s what I’ve come to do. I’ll find some way to get on that stage’. So they came up with the idea of a wheelchair and decorated it with sparkly stuff. So I went on stage, I just couldn’t dance.
“When it came to the strip I sat there in my outfit with my feathers in the wheelchair and took my top off!”
Laila’s co-star Teddy Soares also revealed his full package on stage according to his Love Island pal
Spilling the beans on his pre-recorded performance, Teddy’s amused pal Toby Aromolaran told The Celeb Report: “I heard that some things were shown…”[His girlfriend] Faye said they saw everything in the crowd. And if she did, then everyone else definitely did.
“It sounded hilarious. I’m looking forward to watching.”
Teddy and Laila join stars including ex-Strictly dancers James and Ola Jordan, Blue singer Duncan James, model Christine McGuiness, Olympian Colin Jackson, musical theatre and Loose Women star Brenda Edwards, TV presenter Martin Roberts and Love Island’s Demi Jones.
- The Real Full Monty 2021 will air on Monday, December 13 and Tuesday, December 14 at 9pm on ITV and ITV Hub.
