Max Bowden, known for his role as Ben Mitchell in the popular BBC soap EastEnders, had a close call when he emerged from a three-car collision unharmed. The 28-year-old actor was visibly shocked as he climbed out of his wrecked Mercedes CLA in broad daylight. Onlookers were equally stunned as they witnessed the aftermath of the accident, with the front bumper of Bowden's car hanging off and the vehicle possibly deemed a write-off.
Recognition by Passers-by
Passers-by were quick to recognize the EastEnders star amidst the chaos. Jack Hanlon, a witness to the incident, shared, "We just saw this car was absolutely demolished and then my girlfriend said, 'Is that Ben Mitchell?' He looked pretty stunned by the whole thing. He must have been pretty badly shaken up."
The Incident and Police Statement
The collision involving a red Mazda, a black Mercedes, and a grey Kia took place in Sunbury-on-Thames, as confirmed by a spokesperson from Surrey Police. The incident occurred just off the Sunbury Cross roundabout around 1:10 pm. Fortunately, there were no injuries or arrests resulting from the collision. The cause of the accident remains unclear.
