The criminal's actions, including his financial antics and three murders, were all uncovered. However, his reign of terror came to an end when Peter Barlow intervened.

Matters go from bad to worse for Michael Bailey

Next week, Michael Bailey desperately tries to get his job back, but things take a turn for the worse. It all comes down to his father, Ed Bailey. Ed, having placed Michael's £1000 on a horse, anxiously watches the race unfold. When the horse wins, Ed is overjoyed and hides the cash from his family. Unaware of its contents, Michael unknowingly takes the bag of cash with him to Underworld.

Michael is stunned when he is questioned by DS Swain about the cash that Stephen stole. As he opens the bag to find a huge wad of cash, DS Swain becomes suspicious and demands to know where it came from. Michael is then taken away in a police car under suspicion of working with Stephen to defraud Underworld.

Ed admits to his past gambling addiction but swears that he's done with gambling and it won't happen again.

Dee-Dee's bubble may burst

Joel Deering becomes uneasy when Dee-Dee confides in him about Ed's past gambling problem. She insists that it's all in the past and that it almost split their family up. However, Joel may burst her bubble by revealing what he knows about Ed's crumbling finances.
