FANS of the Spanish-speaking smash-hit series are overjoyed that Netflix have confirmed the show will return for a fourth season.
Three seasons of the show have aired since it’s inception in 2018, with the latest helping leaving fans desperate for more.
When is Elite season 4 being released on Netflix?
Netflix have been extremely generous with the Elite fanbase – May 2020 saw the streaming service giants take to Twitter to release a video with the cast of the show confirming the fourth season.
Just under a year later, and Netflix went one further and tweeted: “Elite fans, get ready for more because the show has been renewed for a fifth season! (and before you ask… no, Season 4 has not premiered yet).”
Elite season 4 will be released on June 18, 2021. The official Elite Twitter account announced the exciting news on April 12 2021 by tweeting: “ÉLITE 4. 18 JUN.”, accompanied with the first teaser of the new series.
Who’s in the Elite season 4 cast?
Before the release of season three, fans were informed by the original cast and crew that season four onwards would feature a brand new cast.
In a video discussing season three, Georgina Amorós, who plays Cayetana, explained: “It’s a season where the cycle is completed. Another one starts”. Alvaró Rico (Polo) also confirmed: “It’s the definitive ending to the evolution of the characters.”
Elite season three appears to have been the last which will feature ALL the faces that fans will associate with the show, but some reports have suggested that half of the original cast will still be part of the show.
Itzan Escamilla (Samu), Miguel Bernardeau (Guzmán), Arón Piper (Ander), Omar Shana (Omar), Claudia Salas (Rebeca) and Georgina Amorós (Cayetana) are all preparing to return to Elite for season 4.
They all appeared in the video confirming that the series has been renewed.
Though the names of their new characters are yet to be revealed, Manu Dios, Pol Granch, Carla Díaz and Martina Cariddi will all play new characters at Las Encinas.

The first teaser of what season four has in store is available to watch on the official Twitter accounts of both Netflix and Elite.
Netflix also tweeted a video giving viewers a chance to see some of the cast members enjoy their final moments on set.
On May 19, Netflix tweeted: “Go behind the scenes of Elite Season 3 as Ester, Danna, Alvaro, Mina, and Jorge say goodbye.”
The video was posted alongside an edit of Ester Expósito (Carla), Danna Paola (Lu), Álvaro Rico (Polo), Mina El Hammani (Nadia) and Jorge López (Valerio) all fighting back tears as they spend their final days on set.
What’s happened in Elite seasons 1, 2 and 3?
Each season of Elite has a different, gripping mystery.
Elite season one was all about who murdered Marina, with series one cutting between scenes of the night she was killed as well as police interrogation scenes.
Elite season two focused on the disappearance of Samu, with the entire series devoted to determining what went on in the build-up to his vanishing and the aftermath.
Elite season three told the story of the murder of Polo, where we discover Lu pushed Polo and accidentally stabbed him in the chest with the bottleneck.
