BOB Hope was rushed to hospital after suffering a heart attack amid a public altercation with Liam Cavanagh.

The B&B owner portrayed by Tony Audenshaw was incandescent with rage during last night’s instalment of the ITV soap when he spotted Wendy with the village GP.
Bob recently found out the pair had embarked on an affair and, as a result, Wendy (Susan Cookson) decided to hand in her notice on Monday (August 14, 2023).
But to Bob, it appeared that Wendy and Liam had picked up things where they had left them and gave their illicit romance a fresh start.
In a blind rage, Bob lashed out against Liam and punched him but things took a worrying turn when the stress of the brawl led him to have a heart attack.
Bob was rushed to hospital with a worried Wendy in tow and she was beside herself when she found out he needed an operation.
Wendy received a stern talking to from Brenda Walker who deemed she ruined his life but the worst was yet to come as viewers were more unforgiving than her.
Following the instalment of the Yorkshire-based drama, soap fans swarmed over to Twitter and pleaded for Wendy to leave the eponymous village.
“Wendy, stop those crocodile tears, just leave the village with Liam”, one fan Tweeted while another fumed: “Wendy crying again ffs sick of her now.”
A third viewer begged: “I hope Wendy packs her stuff and p****s off now. Daft cow.”
“Wendy with her quivering voice. I can’t stand much more of it”, another added.
“Wendy is still going on about Bob. Give it up and leave him alone”, one social media user concluded.
As mentioned above, Wendy was blamed for Bob Hope’s heart attack, although his emotions got the better of him when Archie Sharma shot his ball at the B&B after accidentally striking him.
Brenda (Lesley Dunlop) put Wendy on blast for the health scare by claiming the nurse’s actions “literally broke his heart.”
