EMMERDALE fans slammed broadcaster ITV for “casually giving away plot spoilers” amid Meena Jutla’s latest apparent murder.
Viewers of the soap had already witnessed the character presumably kill sister Manpreet Sharma, dragging her out of the house in a body bag, after she discovered Meena’s evil ways.
Emmerdale villain Meena, played by Paige Sandhu, had been holding her sister hostage in a bedroom since Christmas and started drugging her sibling with Diazepam and other meds.
She was presumed dead as Meena was seen dragging out the bag swathed in plastic sheets at the dead of night – with Emmerdale spoilers later casting doubt on the murder.
Yet for those fans who were unaware of the soap’s leaked storylines, they presumed Manpreet had been murdered – until the announcer waded in.
Just before Friday’s episode, he mused whether someone would finally “come to Manpreet’s rescue”.
This apparent contradiction left viewers stunned before the first scene had even aired.
One angry fan took to Twitter to rage: “Emmerdale sack the announcer for blowing the whole episode before it started used to be Granada Reports who spoiled it.”
Another flagged the blunder and put: “Lol the #ITV announcer casually giving away plot spoilers ahead of #emmerdale… “can a villager come to Manpreet’s rescue”….so she’s not dead then!?”
A third moaned: “Pointless avoiding spoilers online when the announcer does it seconds before the show starts #Emmerdale,” as one then joked: “TV announcer gives up the worst kept secret on British TV at the start.”

Another then bluntly put: “That announcer does my head in #Emmerdale.”
MURDER PLOT
Meena’s murder drama is just the latest instalment in the serial killer’s plot to terrorise the unsuspecting residents of Emmerdale, with a current kill count of four people – her pal Nadine, Leanna Cavanagh, Ben Tucker and Andrea Tate.
Yet fans called out a huge blunder in her kidnap of Manpreet as the troubling scenes played out.
Her hostage murder plot may have backfired completely, after Manpreet was found alive at the end of Friday’s episode.
The final moments of the programme saw Vinny Dingle enter a deserted farm shed and find Manpreet barely alive and shackled up.
Vinny has been gathering evidence to try and clear Liv’s name after she was charged with Ben’s murder instead of Meena.
As he entered, he called out for Meena before spotting Manpreet lying on the straw, tied up.
But no sooner had he said her name than he was knocked out cold, as Meena hit him over the head with a piece of wood from behind.
She said: “I do so love visitors,” but as Manpreet begged her sister to leave him alone, she snapped: “Shut up! Or I might just decide three’s a crowd.”
Viewers immediately took to Twitter to discuss the latest turn of events in the Meena saga, with one writing: “Dumb #Meena now you’ve got two people to deal with!”
