DAN Spencer’s fate remains uncertain following his one-punch misdemeanour against stalker Lloyd.
But following last night’s Emmerdale instalment, viewers are expecting things to get worse as Julie reappeared in the village.
Lloyd’s wife Julie returned to Emmerdale last night
She ominously showed up on Dan Spencer’s doorstep
Fans are predicting a dark twist for the mechanic
Played by actress Emma Stansfield, Julie has fiercely defended her husband Lloyd who was left in a coma after a heated altercation with Dan Spencer (portrayed by Liam Fox).
The beloved mechanic, usually accustomed to comical storylines, has been thrown into legal turmoil when he punched Lloyd (Matt Sutton), leading him to fall and hit his head on a rock.
Dan deemed it was necessary to teach Lloyd a lesson after the creepy newcomer terrorised his teen daughter Amelia (Daisy Campbell).
Lloyd’s life has been hanging by a thread ever since while Dan was charged with GBH – but it could all be changed into a murder charge in a flash.
Following her husband’s assault, Julie was seen frequently in the eponymous village, determined to push Dan to face the music for his actions.
During last night’s (Monday, July 31, 2023) trip to the Dales, she made an explosive return and fans were far from happy to see her again.
Soap fans swarmed over to Twitter to share their opinions about Julie with one commenting: “The mad wife has arrived to murder Dan.”
“The stalker’s wife’s back, she seems as weird as her husband”, another pointed out as a third shared: “What a menacing walk towards the house, looking like an audition for a horror film.”
A fourth added: “Oh here’s the witch who thinks her husband’s a saint.”
“The psycho wife has turned up”, another echoed as a sixth jumped in: “Oh God now Lloyds missus is back.”
Prior to her return, Julie had a brutal face-off with Dan in hospital as the mechanic paid Lloyd a visit.
After mistaking him for the person who gave her husband CPR, the penny dropped for Julie and she realised what Dan had really done.
Their argument escalated with Dan being dragged away as he yelled threats of “finishing” what he had started.
Due to his own words and Julie’s return, fans have been predicting a dark fate for Dan.
“That isn’t gonna help, Dan”, one soap viewer penned and another echoed: “Dan if you know what is best for you you’ll stay away.”
Another observed: “Dan you’re making things a whole lot worse.”
“I didn’t think Dan could be anymore stupid until he said he’d do it again to Lloyd’s frickin wife in front of witnesses!”, fumed one final fan.
