Ellis Chapman abandons Belle and Kyle as he races to help Priya Sharma

In upcoming scenes after Christmas, Ellis invites Belle on an excursion with Kyle leaving her hopeful they are moving in the right direction.

Meanwhile, Priya Sharma is struggling with her eating disorder and she becomes too much, she calls Ellis.

Over in the forest, Belle leans in for a kiss but is interrupted as Ellis’ phone buzzes and he rushes off to help Priya.

Belle and Ellis find themselves alone – but things take a bad turn when Kyle injures himself.

Soon, having been abandoned by Ellis, Belle assesses Kyles twisted ankle and decides to head home.

Realising she gave her car keys to Ellis, Belle resorts to smashing her car window in an attempt to warm freezing Kyle.

However, Belle begins to panic when she realises her phone has no signal and is low on power.

Shivering and scared, Belle leaves a voicemail for Ellis.

As her phone dies, Belle fears what the night has in store for her and Kyle.

The pair huddle in their car to keep warm, but it doesn’t look good as Belle and Kyle appear unconscious and pale.

Elsewhere, Priya immediately regrets calling Ellis and he fumes about wasting his time.

Still struggling with food, distraught, Priya screams and breaks down in tears, becoming extremely distressed.

It comes after Aaron is said to have quit the ITV soap following a race probe into two of its other leading stars.

Sources say the actor is still furious about his colleagues’ alleged behaviour towards a fellow female cast member.

We revealed last month that the soap was embroiled in allegations that a mixed-race actress was subjected to an inappropriate comment and had her accent mimicked.

Matthew Wolfenden, 41, and Isabel Hodgins, 28 — who both categorically deny any wrongdoing — ceased filming for the drama while the enquiries were made.

Sources claim Aaron, 28, is said to have rowed with Matthew following the incident.

They say Aaron, who plays Ellis Chapman, has told bosses he will not be returning to the show when his contract expires.

Our source said: “Aaron is bitterly angry about this situation and he has had to be persuaded to come back to Leeds to film his scenes in recent months.
