Though a guilty Dawn wanted to hand herself into the police, Harriet forced her to help bury Malone in someone else’s grave in the churchyard – and pretend he’d gone on the run.
But Dawn confessed to her dad Will after suffering hallucinations of the evil cop in the village, and also blurted out what had happened to her ex Billy after struggling to keep it from him.
But things will get more complicated in upcoming episodes as Harriet is shocked to see a woman standing at the grave where Malone is buried.
An anxious Harriet later bares her soul in prayer, but she’s horrified when she’s interrupted by Jean, the woman from the graveyard.
Harriet tries to stay calm when Jean reveals she’s the daughter of a man in the graveyard buried beneath Malone.
Jean adds that she’s planning on exhuming her father’s body.
Harriet calls the bishop and begs him to stop the exhumation, who tells her she’ll visit in person to discuss the matter.
Harriet grows certain that all this fuss will lead to Malone’s body being discovered and tells Will that something has to be done.
Will they try and move his body?
Emmerdale has revealed that disaster will then strike again when Dawn drops unconscious.
Will it have something to do with the gravedigging?
Matters are made worse when she’s given a potentially devastating diagnosis.
Will she be okay?
