But the following day, Jamie tried his best to avoid Gabby before telling her their night of passion meant nothing to him.
Gabby then watched Jamie set about making things work with his other love interest Dawn.
Next week’s episodes of Emmerdale will see Laurel notice Gabby looking upset and ask what’s wrong, but Gabby quickly puts on a brave face.
Later, Jamie savagely tells Gabby she was a drunken mistake when she tries to talk to him.
When he advises her to forget what happened between them, she’s devastated.
The following day, Laurel is stunned when Gabby tells her she thinks she might be pregnant.
A test confirms she’s pregnant, but Gabby refuses to tell Laurel who the dad is – and that he won’t want anything to do with the child.
Laurel assures Gabby that she has her support but encourages her to tell the father in case he changes his mind.
Meanwhile, Jamie confesses the extent of his feelings for Dawn to Paddy just as he sees Gabby approaching.
Will Gabby tell Jamie about the pregnancy?
Emmerdale story producer Sophie Roper teased a power struggle at Home Farm after Gabby falls pregnant in upcoming scenes.
She revealed: “Tracy and Nate’s due date approaches as we head to the birth.
“As they adapt to being new parents it will be a real test, pushing them to the limit and Tracy will take the lion’s share.
“It will also put a spotlight on Nate and Cain. Will they finally bury the hatchet? There’s some really emotional stuff.
“The pitter patter of tiny feet isn’t just for Tracy – we have another new arrival as Jamie learns that he is going to be a father for a second time after a night with Gabby.
“As Kim discovers a new heir to the throne, a fight for power will ensue.
“Gabby will find herself at the centre – will she succumb to the temptations and manipulation at Home Farm?”
Speaking to The Celeb Report, actress Claire King – who plays Kim in the ITV soap – suggested that Gabby and Kim will lock horns in the coming weeks.
“She could take her place,” said Claire.
“This wouldn’t be the first time Kim has been booted out of Home Farm and had to move into the village and live a very humble life with everyone laughing at her.
“I could imagine it happening again – but Kim Tate always fights back.”
