LIFE in the ITV Dales has been difficult for Leyla Cavanagh who continues to struggle with her coke addiction.
But the Emmerdale wedding planner gets more reactive and cruelly rejects her husband Liam next week.
In recent months, Leyla Cavanagh (portrayed by Roxy Shahidi) has displayed some troubling behaviour which has been mostly due to her overwhelming addiction to cocaine.
The Take A Vow employee has disregarded Suzy Merton’s (Martelle Edinborough) warnings about the drugs but her husband Liam (Jonny McPherson) is becoming increasingly aware something isn’t right.
Coming up next week, however, Leyla holds her other half at arm’s length, sick of him banging on about babies.
She then dismisses any idea of getting healthy while she secretly recovers from her cocaine from the night before.

It soon becomes clear that she’s not out of the woods with her addiction yet as she fails in talking herself down from taking more cocaine.
Recent scenes of the Yorkshire-based soap have shown the couple celebrating their first wedding anniversary.
The pair nearly didn’t walk down the aisle due to some meddling from Bernice Blackstock but have been married for a whole year.
Again, Liam seemed over the moon to celebrate but Leyla was less enthused by the anniversary date.
As viewers know, this is notably due to her addiction to drugs which has even driven a wedge between her and Suzy.
Suzy swore off the drugs cold turkey, a crisis of conscience which was caused by her finding out about Holly Barton’s death.
The Dales newcomer has been focusing more on her romance with fellow villager Vanessa Woodfield, whom she met earlier in 2022.
Meanwhile, Leyla has been desperate to keep her cocaine secret under wraps.
