DESPITE Suzy Merton trying to give her a wake-up call, Leyla Cavanagh is still struggling with her coke addiction.
But as she fails to cope without the drugs, the Emmerdale wedding planner catches the attention of those closest to her.
Roxy Shahidi‘s Leyla has a dark secret and while viewers have become aware she is addicted to cocaine, Emmerdale residents have yet to catch on.
This includes her husband Liam (portrayed by Jonny McPherson) and her son Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant).
Next week, however, Leyla takes a line before breakfast and her jittery behaviour doesn’t go unnoticed.
Liam is concerned but things get worse for Leyla when she’s unable to finish an interview with a journalist after feeling unwell.

Suzy Merton (played by Martelle Edinborough) has already decided to quit cocaine cold turkey after finding out Holly Barton had died following an overdose, leaving Leyla to get her fix from someone else.
Suzy recently claimed she would only be focusing on her budding romance with Vanessa Woodfield.
But when she finds coke in Leyla’s bag, she warns her about the dangers of buying from an unknown dealer.
Despite annoying her, the newcomer delivers some harsh truths about her addiction before storming out to do the interview herself.
Leyla is left alone with the cocaine and makes the decision to wash out the rest of it down the sink.
A buzzing Jacob later shows up at Tenants, eager to talk about university and a ropey Leyla tries to act normal to throw him off the scent.
While Jacob may be fooled, Liam is on to her but he doesn’t suspect she may be addicted to cocaine.
Instead, Liam grows increasingly worried and convinced that Leyla is suffering from PTSD.
