PAUL Ashdale will turn to violence again this Christmas and attack his son Vinny after Liv Flaherty exposes his gambling.
Liv and Paul – who is played by Reece Dinsdale in the ITV soap – came to an agreement to keep her seizures secret as long as she kept quiet about his gambling.

But things escalate quickly when Paul sees Liv driving off with her instructor, knowing full well that she could have a seizure at any moment.
Paul shoots himself in the foot when he finds Aaron and tells him about Liv’s seizures.
As he tries to leave, a furious Liv explodes and blows Paul’s cover as revenge, telling Vinny that his dad has been gambling again.
Paul tries to make an excuse, pretending that the betting was only a one-off, but Vinny knows he’s lying and urges him to admit his addiction.
Vinny is shell shocked, however, when Paul reacts badly and turns violent.
Will Vinny tell Mandy about Paul’s nasty side?
Lisa Riley has revealed that the storyline surrounding Paul’s gambling will continue into next spring, which suggests that Mandy won’t discover Paul’s antics anytime soon.
Speaking to the Inside Soap Yearbook 2021, Lisa explained: “There’s lots to come, going right into next spring.
“We’ve done so much research into this, and how a child starts living a lie as they are fearful of losing their family unit.
Speaking about Mandy’s oblivion to the situation, Lisa added: “Paul is like any addict and will go to any lengths to feed that addiction. The viewers will see what Paul is putting Vinny through, although Mandy has no idea.”
She added: “The boys are sensational and I’m so invested in their story as a viewer of Emmerdale myself. There’s this world of darkness going on with them and then Mandy’s in her happy, camp world.”
