WHILE Marlon Dingle continues to recover from his stroke, his fiancée Rhona Goskirk heads back to work.
But her excitement is soon replaced by dread as she makes a terrible mistake in Emmerdale.
Marlon’s recovery is a long process his loved ones are ready to go through with him.
However, finances are becoming an issue at Smithy Cottage as the chef’s hospital bills pile up and he’s put on statutory sick pay.
This means Rhona (portrayed by Zoe Henry) will have a lot on her plate in upcoming scenes of the long-running ITV soap.
Yet the village vet is eager to get back to work next week and she returns to Butler’s Farm – but her first day back doesn’t go as planned.

While she’s happy to be back, Moira Dingle (Natalie J. Robb) notices how distracted Rhona is as her mind wanders.
Rhona’s worry is soon well founded as she realises she has made a big mistake during her work day.
The following day, she is determined to do things right but is nervous about leaving Marlon home alone.
And she quickly gets proof she perhaps should have stayed home.
Spoilers have confirmed Marlon will suffer from a major setback next week as a cough he seems to have recently contracted is a symptom of a worrying condition.
Marlon is brought out of his home for a day out on the allotment by Bear Wolf but his cough worsens and Emmerdale GP Liam Cavanagh suggests he drives him to hospital.
Once there, Rhona and Marlon are given a devastating diagnosis by the doctor and warned that this could be a huge setback in the chef’s recovery.
Marlon has recently been debating whether he should return to hospital as he notices Rhona and even his daughter April both crumble under the pressure.
But his condition could convince him and Rhona that he shouldn’t stay in Smithy for too long.
In the meantime, can Rhona get back on track at work or will the pressure of Marlon’s recovery overcome her?
