EMMERDALE’S biggest stars got together away from the set to toast soap legend Mark Charnock.
Vanessa Woodfield actress Michelle Hardwick posted a shot of no fewer than ten Dales legends crowded around a table.
The 45-year-old explained that they were celebrating Mark’s quarter-century on the soap playing Marlon.
Calling them her “work family” she wrote: “Celebrating 25 years of Marlon Dingle with good food and even better company ![]()
.”
Mark was shown in Michelle’s picture alongside the other Dingles including Sam actor James Hooton and Mandy star Lisa Riley.
Jimmy King actor Nick Miles spotted the bill laughing: “How the flipping heck did ten of you get out of the Reliance for £375??
“Did you only have starters? Mark, please don’t tell me you split the bill.”
Natalie replied: “You’ve got a good zoom on your phone Nick.”
Meanwhile Amy Wyatt actress Natalie Ann Jamieson sent her apologies, writing: “Ahhhhh gorgeous pic! I owe Marlon a drink. Promise to be there next time!”
Fans were delighted with the picture, with one writing: “Congratulations Mark on your 25 years on Emmerdale my favourite show.
“I watch you on Classic & modern Emmerdale 21 years difference and you look the same you haven’t changed a bit. X”
Mark, who is now 53, joined Emmerdale back in 1996, arriving in the village to stay with his uncle Zak.
The character has gone on to become a core member of the soap, mixing comedy turns with serious performances.
In 2004, Mark – who also appeared briefly in Coronation Street before joining Emmerdale – bagged the British Soap Award for Best Dramatic Performance.
