MUCH like every other weeknight, ITV viewers took another trip to the Dales last night.
But Emmerdale viewers put soap bosses on blast when they received “another” warning of “distressing scenes.”
The Yorkshire-based show has been tackling difficult subjects throughout its time on the air – which will amount to a full 50 years in October, 2022.
In recent months, fans of the iconic drama have seen some of the younger generation of villagers display some troubling behaviour.
A prime example of this is Noah Dingle who was recently sentenced to prison for stalking Chloe Harris.
More recently, Nicola King is going through the aftermath of her horrific mugging, whilst Faith Dingle is facing a harrowing breast cancer battle.

With so many painful scenes, ITV believed it was a good idea to issue its viewers with the following warning before a new episode aired last night: “with strong emotions and scenes of distress some viewers may find upsetting, it’s Emmerdale.”
The broadcaster has made the announcement a regular fixture but soap fans are becoming frustrated.
Most have complained on social media about their beloved show becoming “too dark.”
“Oh god, upsetting scenes etc etc. I love a bit of early evening light entertainment. Why is Emmerdale always so dark?”, one viewer fumed.
A second fan decided to tune out of the instalment altogether, penning: “Scenes of distress isn’t that every night? I’m out take care everybody.”
Another jumped in: “The fact that there’s a warning every episode is ridiculous why is this show so miz all the time!?”
Emmerdale fans will be surprised to find out they’re not the only ones to find the scenes difficult as Nicola Wheeler has stated they’ve also been hard to film.
