What Happened to Chloe Harris in Emmerdale?
During Super Soap Week, Emmerdale viewers were on the edge of their seats as Chloe Harris (played by Jessie Elland) found herself in a devastating car crash. The fiery redhead had discovered that her fiancé Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) had slept with his ex-wife Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins). Seeking revenge, Chloe planned to abandon Mackenzie and Charity in the middle of nowhere. However, her plans were thwarted when a white van crashed into her vehicle, sending them all towards a clifftop. In a heart-wrenching twist, Mackenzie had to choose between saving Charity or Chloe, and he chose Charity, leaving Chloe to die as the car fell off the cliff.
Chloe's Miraculous Survival and Recovery
Despite the odds, Chloe miraculously survived the fall, although she was impaled. After being airlifted to the hospital, she was placed in a medically-induced coma. Her condition remained critical for several episodes until she finally woke up. Viewers and her loved ones were shocked when Chloe revealed that she escaped brain damage and had little recollection of the accident or Mackenzie's attempt to save her.
The Truth Comes Out
Once alone in her hospital room, Chloe finally reunited with her baby boy and confessed that she remembered everything, including Mackenzie's choice to let her die and save Charity. However, she kept up the pretense of not remembering anything when Mackenzie was present. Chloe later shared the truth with her sister Amy Wyatt, who encouraged her to confront Mackenzie. Despite the possibility of revenge, Chloe insisted that she would forgive and forget because she believed Mackenzie still loved her.
