ESCAPE TO the Chateau’s Dick Strawbridge shared a rare snap of his grown-up son called James, 38, who rarely features on the hit Channel 4 show.

Dick’s eldest son, James, 38 is rarely seen on the show so fans were delighted when Dick posted the photo on social media.

Dick, retweeted a tweet by BBC Northen Ireland Communications that read:

“A brand new series Strawbridge Over The Drawbridge for BBC Ireland & BBC iPlayer, beginning on Monday 5 September at 8pm, [ @eco_boy ] unearths terrific tales and hopes to cook up a storm as he travels the country on a tour of some of Northern Ireland’s most magnificent country houses and estates.”

Proud dad Dick, retweeted this along with:

“If you can get to see this on your telly set an alarm!!! My big boy, beautiful countryside and gorgeous grub it would be a shame to miss it.”

Fans were delighted to see this rare picture of Dick’s eldest son, who is rarely seen on the show and took to social media to share their thoughts.

“Chip off the old block.” A fan tweeted.

Another wrote: “Oh my! What a change in you, with a beard you are definitely the image of your father. Hope the program is a success.”

While a third penned: “You are both a handsome pair, treasure your moments together.”

Another fan gushed: “What a talented blessed family you are .”

This is one of the few rare photo’s Dick has shared of his eldest son, James.

Back in June this year, Dick shared a few sweet snaps of him and James and fans were ecstatic.

The first photograph was a black and white shot of James kissing his father on the cheek and the other snaps ones included candid pictures of the pair on family holidays.

One of the pictures was a throwback to when James was much younger before he grew a beard just like his dad.

Fans were quick to gush over James on Twitter when he made his on-screen appearance, with one tweeting: “I didn’t think this programme could get any better and then elder son comes to visit,” while another wrote: “Oh my, he’s gorgeous. Channel 4 give him his own show immediately!”
