Escape to the Country to undergo major format change reveals Jules Hudson

BBC’s Jules Hudson has teased “exciting changes” to the format of Escape to the Country.

The much-loved BBC show will be undergoing “another stage in its evolution this year,” according to the host.



Jules teased an upcoming update on Escape to the Country with interesting changes

Jules told Express.co.uk: “We are taking you through another stage in its evolution this year with a tweaked format which I’m very excited about.

“When the new show starts rolling out, I think you’ll see some very interesting and exciting changes.”

He informed fans that the mystery house segment will still feature.

Jules also has no plans to leave the show, despite hosting since it first began in 2007.

He joked: “They’ll have to carry me out. I absolutely love it.

“In many respects and I think in some small ways I’ve helped to define it.

“And that’s why I wrote the Escape to the Country handbook to bring many of the lessons that I’ve learned.

“Not just through my professional life on Escape to the Country but also my personal life.”



Jules has no plans to leave the show

Jules teamed up with Our Yorkshire Farm’s Amanda Owen for Channel 5’s new series of Summer on the Farm- which aired last week.

Throughout the week-long programme, they invited a number of famous faces to join them.

He told the Daily Express: “I’ve worked with Amanda many times and she is a force of nature. She is the most astonishing individual and the family are an astonishing family.”

He added: “She is very honest about the life that she shares, and I think it’s a very bold and brave thing to share your life the way that she has.”

Escape to the Country airs on BBC One.
