Every TV show and film being axed by Netflix in February – did your favourite survive the chop?

NETFLIX users will be gutted to learn some big name titles are leaving the streaming giant for good on February 1.

Cult favourites Parks & Recreations and Mean Girls will be getting the chop from Netflix, as the streamer purges many popular titles.

With that said, we take a look at what films and TV shows are leaving Netflix this month.

Netflix is bidding farewell to Parks and Recreation next month

Parks & Recreation

The American political satire mockumentary sitcom was hugely popular during its run between 2009 and 2015.

Starring Chris Pratt, Rashida Jones, Rob Lowe and Amy Poehler, the series followed Amy’s character Leslie Knope, a perky, mid-level bureaucrat in the Parks Department of Pawnee, a fictional town in Indiana.

Across the seven series, real-life political figures made cameos such as John McCain, President Joe Biden, and former First Lady, Michelle Obama.

Magic Mike

Channing Tatum starred in the hit film about male strippers

By day, Mike makes ends meet any way he can — handyman jobs, detailing cars or designing furniture.

But nighttime is when Mike really gets to display his many talents: He’s the hot headliner in an all-male revue.

Mike sees potential in a 19-year-old he dubs the Kid, takes the teen under his wing and instructs him in the tricks of the trade.

However, Mike learns there’s a downside to the stripper lifestyle when it threatens his romance with the Kid’s sister.

Snakes on a Plane

They really did make a movie about stowaway snakes on a plane

Samuel L Jackson stars in this action thriller about hundreds of deadly snakes being released onto a passenger plane in an attempt to murder a trial witness.

Jackson plays one of the FBI agents escorting the witness to safety and has to contend with the deadly serpents.

It opened to an insane amount of internet buzz because of the absurdity of the script and the promise of Jackson shouting the iconic line, “I’ve had enough of these muthaf****n snakes on this muthaf****n plane.”

Mean Girls

The cult classic has inspired thousands of memes

Mean Girls is an American teen comedy that was released in 2004.

It was written by comedian and presenter Tina Fey and is based on Rosalind Wiseman’s non-fiction self-help book Queen Bees and Wannabes, which features the topic of high school cliques.

The movie, starring Lindsay Lohan as lead role Cady, saw her character move to the United States after a rural upbringing in Africa with zoologist parents.

Attending an American school is not what Cady expects, but she quickly finds herself in A-list girl clique, The Plastics.

Trouble starts to brew when she makes the mistake of falling for Aaron Samuels, who is the ex-boyfriend of “Queen Bee” Regina, played by Rachel McAdams.
