FORMER Love Island star Malin Andersson slammed the shows ‘toxic’ relationships.

Malin, who appeared on season two of the show, took to Instagram to share her thoughts.

The motivational speaker criticised the portrayal of this year’s couples, stating that it isn’t what the younger generation “need to see”.

Writing to her Instagram story, she penned: “This show is just toxic itself it portrays relationships as normal which consist of traits of abuse etc.

“Not what the younger generation need to see and think is normal.”

It came after a number of the boys were reduced to tears after a brutal Movie Night.

Shaq Muhammad was seen walking out of the villa alongside Tom Clare in Thursday’s episode.

The pair shared a tearful embrace in wake of the emotional clashes with love interests Tanya Manhenga and Samie Elishi.

Show favourite Will Young was also brought to tears due to an emotional chat with partner Jessie Wynter about his Casa Amor antics.

Malin, who rose to fame on Love Island in 2016, often sheds light on mental health and body image.

The reality star recently posed nude on social media and looked to inspire her followers, where she wrote: “This is your vessel in your house, it’s your house, it’s where you live.

“There’s no point judging it, absolutely no point.

“Don’t waste your life’s purpose worrying about your body.”

She went on to say: “BODIES CHANGE.

“Accept where you are, right now, in this very moment and acknowledge what your body has done for you and what it’s capable of doing because we’re always going to become a different version of ourselves.

“Embrace every second of this life we have.. and accept ourselves as whole.”

The mum, 30, recently hit back at trolls as she posed in her underwear, stating: “I sometimes get trolls saying I’m always in my underwear.”

“Here I am. Minus a bra. In all ma glory. Loving myself.

“Doing what I want. Because I can. Being a mother, but also Malin. Being single cos I know I deserve more. Letting my skin glow cos I don’t need to constantly wear makeup.

“Don’t you just love doing what ya want?”
