FORMER Strictly Come Dancing pro’s Ola Jordan and husband James Jordan are stripping off on the upcoming Strictly The Full Monty special.
It comes after James, 43, lost his dad to cancer earlier this year.
In an exclusive interview with The Celeb Report, James revealed the heartbreaking reason behind his decision to bare all on the show.
“The Real Full Monty is such an important show for raising awareness of cancer which, sadly, took my Dad this year,” he said.
The former Dancing on Ice star credited his wife of 18 years for being his rock during the turbulent time.
“So when they asked me to take part, although I was dubious to get my kit off, I knew it was for a good cause. Ola’s support has been incredible throughout this whole experience,” James said.
“So to have her by my side for the show and to be able to dance with her again in the Empress Ballroom at Blackpool after 15 years will be incredibly emotional and I know my Dad will be watching with pride as we dance in his honour,” he added.
Meanwhile, his wife Ola, 39, revealed just how tough it has been to watch James lose his father to cancer.
His dad, Allan Jordan, died from a brain tumour in March 2021 at the age of 67.
“Seeing James lose his dad has been one of the toughest things we have been through as a family,” she said.
“When I was asked to partner James again in his dad’s memory on The Real FullMonty and bring awareness to the terrible disease Cancer, it was a no-brainer.”
Ola admits she has gained weight since her Strictly days and is feeling a bit conscious about getting her kit off on the show.
“My body is not what it once was and I am a bit conscious about stripping but I’m doing it in honour of a great man, Allan Jordan,” she said.
