FIRST Dates Hotel viewers were left distracted by a Carol McGiffin lookalike appeared on last night’s show.
The Loose Women panelist’s ‘twin’ Katie hoped to find love on the ITV dating show, hosted by Fred Sirieix.
Coincidentally, the firefighter had a date with another woman named Katie as organised by the Channel 4 matchmakers.
Both Katie and Carol share a similar blonde and bobbed hairstyle and facial features.
Viewers took to Twitter after spotting the resemblance as one tweeted: “That’s Carol McG…!?! Katie ? firstdateshotel.”
While another chimed in: “Carol McGiffin’s here!”
Kate described her job and how she felt about meeting someone new.
“I basically go to work to make everyone feel safe and happy, that’s what I love doing. That gets me up in the morning, that’s for sure,” she explained.
“A first date is far more scary than a blue light call,” Katie added, before remarking: “I’ve never had a blind date before.
“I have no idea whatsoever and no expectations at all about who I’m about to meet.”
Sparks flew between the two Katie’s on their first date, to the point that they decided to go on a second date.
The firefighter later declared: “I would like to spend a bit more time with you to get to know you better, that’s my decision.”
That was music to the ears of Katie who gleefully replied: “I’d love that!”
With that, the pair planted a kiss on one another before going their separate ways.
First Dates Hotel continues next Wednesday at 9pm on Channel 4.
