FIRST Dates will get a dramatic new format shake-up for the 10th anniversary of the show – with a new restaurant, in a new city, with new staff, reveals show legend Fred Siriex.
The secrets of the next series of the hit C4 dating show have been kept under-wraps until now – as Fred Sirieix, 51, reveals all at the launch of Lu Petit Ganache biscuits.
Fred opened up about the exciting new format for First Dates at the new LU Le Petit Ganache launch
He’s so excited to be filming First Dates this summer
In an exclusive chat with The Celeb Report, Fred was so excited for fans to see First Dates returning with a whole new look.
He said: “So for the next show we are moving.
“I can’t tell you too much but it’s a different restaurant and a different city in the UK. I love this city by the way. It’s a very exciting and rebellious city.
“We are interviewing new staff at the moment. It’s the 10 year anniversary series so it’s a bit more of the same, but with a slight twist.
“It’s very exciting – we are all super excited. You will just have to see it.”
Fred chatted with the Sun as he opened up about his other passion for cooking – nurtured by his mother in his native France.
To celebrate the launch of LU Le Petit Ganache, with its surprise silky chocolatey centre, the TV Presenter teamed up with LU to look at the pleasure a simple surprise gives people.
The simple act of surprising a loved one shouldn’t be underestimated– as a third (31%) of UK residents reveal the best memories come from small, surprising moments rather than big elaborate ones.
The TV chef opened up about childhood memories of his favourite treats.
He said: “Growing up in France, my mother would always hide Lu biscuits underneath the stairs.
So I have great memories. It’s my absolute favourite and my children love it too.
The new ganache one is so delicious – it’s full of surprises.”
Fred, who does a cooking show with his good pals Gordon Ramsay and Gino Di Campio, revealed he’s even got them in on his love for Lu.
He told The Celeb Report: “I’d most love to share a Lu biscuit with Gino.
“He loves surprises. He’s full of surprises.”
In between his many shows, Fred has been busy working on his charity The Right Course where he hopes to train prisoners on how to cook.
The Channel 4 star set up the project five years ago in a bid to help prisoners gain professional cooking qualifications and to help develop their skills and provide some motivation for a job role upon their release.
He told The Celeb Report: “We are opening 5 new restaurants in 5 prisons, the charity is there to do something real to give people opportunities and jobs.
“At the moment we are concentrating on the charity – not really a TV show as we are not sure how we would do that.
“It’s like creating a workshop, and making sure employers think of employing ex prisoners, because we’ve got to be forgiving and believe in redemption, so it’s important people talk about it.
It’s hard to change people’s mind. It’s also great to help the hospitality industry to create new jobs.”
Fred Sirieix has teamed up with biscuit brand LU to celebrate the launch of its latest biscuit, Le Petit Ganache, available in supermarkets nationwide.
