New details about the Big Brother reboot have been revealed

We're only days away from the highly anticipated launch of the Big Brother reboot, and already new details have emerged about the iconic reality show. Not only has the social experiment found a new television home on ITV, but it also has a brand new house to match. The new Garden Studios complex in North London has been unveiled, and fans have had their first glimpse inside.

Sustainability and communal areas take center stage

The new Big Brother house has been designed with sustainability in mind. Producers have made an effort to reduce their carbon footprint in constructing the house, with a key theme for this year's series being sustainability. The communal bathroom features a unique bath on a plinth, which was chosen over a clear bath that would have had to be imported from China. The house also includes a specially built water tank to collect rainfall for various house features.

A closer look at the house

During an appearance on Good Morning Britain, Richard Arnold, a 53-year-old TV star, gave viewers a sneak peek of the house. In the living area, he revealed two huge sofas, making it the largest communal area in any Big Brother house so far. While he didn't disclose the number of beds in the bedroom, he did mention that there were several doubles, meaning that housemates who will be meeting for the first time will be forced to share a bed. Arnold also mentioned a secret closed off smoking area in the garden, complete with microphones to capture any sneaky gossip among the housemates.

The return of an iconic feature: The Jacuzzi

One of the most iconic features of the Big Brother house is the Jacuzzi, which has been home to some memorable moments in previous series. For the twentieth instalment of the show, fans were treated to a first look at the brand new circular hot tub in the garden. Its return is sure to generate excitement among viewers. Additionally, the Diary Room has been upsized this year, with Arnold describing it as the biggest chair he's ever seen.
