From Gladiator to Vicar
Warren Furman, known as Ace from the 1990s TV show Gladiator, has made a significant career change by being ordained as a vicar. Alongside his wife Dionne, Warren was ordained at St Paul’s Cathedral in London and is set to take up a church role in South Kensington.
A New Calling
Speaking about his wife, Warren expressed his desire for her to know God and embrace her true identity without feeling the need to alter her appearance. The ordination ceremony was conducted by Dame Sarah Mulally, the Bishop of London, and Warren described the experience as truly magical.
From TV Star to God's Gladiator
Reflecting on his journey, Warren shared, "While I was in the TV show, I always put my faith in myself. Now I put my faith in God. I’ve gone from TV’s Gladiator to God’s gladiator." His wife Dionne, formerly a cabin crew manager with Virgin Atlantic, is now also embarking on a new chapter in the name of Jesus.
Finding Solace in Faith
Warren's children, Bailey and Anna, along with other family members and friends, were present at St Paul’s Cathedral to support him as he transitions into his role as a vicar at Holy Trinity Brompton in North Kensington. Warren will now be wearing a dog collar as he embraces his new calling.
