Actor undergoes hair transplants
Earlier this year, Lee Mead, 42, opened up about his decision to undergo two hair transplants to combat his receding hairline. In an interview on This Morning, he explained that while there is nothing wrong with being bald, it affected his confidence. He opted for the Follicular Unit Transplant Technique, with the second transplant taking place more recently. The seven-hour operation required local anaesthetic throughout, which Mead described as hearing everything that was happening.
Engagement announcement following previous marriage
In addition to his career and hair transformation, Mead also recently announced his engagement to his long-term girlfriend, Issy. The actor had previously been married to Denise Van Outen from 2009 to 2013 and they share a 12-year-old daughter named Betsy.
