Threats of Violence and Online Abuse
A former star of The Only Way Is Essex, Bobby Norris, recently shared that he received terrifying threats from online trolls, including mentions of 'petrol bombing' his home. Bobby, who appeared on the show for almost a decade, opened up about the backlash he faced, largely due to his sexuality.
Facing Adversity and Making a Change
During an interview on FUBAR Radio's "Politics Uncensored," Bobby spoke about the severe online abuse he endured and how it affected him. Despite having a 'thick skin,' he admitted that his younger self would have struggled with such abuse. Bobby also revealed his efforts in campaigning for legislation to address online safety, which ultimately led to the creation of the Online Safety Act.
Life After Towie and TV Appearances
Since leaving Towie, Bobby has continued to have a presence on television. Earlier this year, he appeared on the challenging Channel 4 show Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, where he faced physical challenges alongside other celebrities and civilians. Despite sustaining an injury during the show, Bobby's resilience and determination shone through.
