Yazmin Oukhellou lands new TV role after leaving the UK
Former Towie star, Yazmin Oukhellou, has made a major career move just months after leaving the popular reality show and relocating to Dubai. And fans won't have to wait long to see her back on their screens. The Celeb Report can exclusively reveal that Yazmin, 29, has signed up for the upcoming season of Celeb Ex on the Beach.
A year of heartache
It's been a tough year for Yazmin, who was involved in a horrific car crash that tragically took the life of her boyfriend, Jake McLean. A TV insider shared, "Yazmin has had a hellish year - she lost her ex-boyfriend Jake McLean in a car crash that also saw her having to undergo surgery while grieving his death. She also recently lost her friend Dean in a motorcycle accident and has been dealing with all of that devastation."
A fresh start
The offer to join Celebrity Ex on the Beach couldn't have come at a better time for Yazmin. The insider continued, "When the offer for Celebrity Ex On The Beach came along, she felt like she needed to turn the page and do something that was just going to be fun and let her forget all her troubles. There's sure to be drama, but after everything Yaz has been through, it's just the distraction she needs."
The Celeb Report has reached out to a representative for Ex on the Beach for comment.
A tragic accident
Last year, Yazmin survived a horrifying car crash that claimed the life of Jake McLean, 33. In order to escape the wreckage, she had to break her own arm. The incident occurred when the couple's Mercedes went off a mountain road, plunging 70ft. Yazmin, who had nodded off in the car, desperately tried to wake Jake and honk the horn for help.
Finding solace in Morocco
Following the accident, Yazmin went to live in Morocco with her parents to aid in her recovery.
